The simple definition of a fracture is a partial or complete break in the bone. Fractures and breaks are the same thing!! Fractures can be classified in many different ways depending on the type and position of the break in the bone.
This involves injecting a medicine inside the joint (mostly Knee Joint) to control pain and inflammation in severely arthritic joints. Commonly used medicines are Hyaluronic acid or steroids. This procedure is used in advanced arthritis of knee joints to relieve pain and swelling when Joint replacement cannot be done or patient does not want to get surgery done. This is a simple, low cost procedure and can be done in OPD setting.
Sometimes with accidents or sports injuries, the bones of a joint gets displaced from their normal position and causes severe pain and swelling in the affected joint and immobilizes the joint. This joint needs to be reduced to their normal position under local or General anaesthesia so as to relieve pain and swelling and restore normal functioning.
